Bilingual emcee Timothy Wan was specially selected to host the Prize Presentation Concert at the 4th Singapore International Composition Competition for Chinese Chamber Music. This was presented by Ding Yi Music Company and co-presented by Esplanade Theatres on the Bay.
The Composium is a triennial composition festival comprising 3 segments: a competition, symposiums and 2 concerts. This edition was the first-ever digital and physical Composium presented with entries from 9 different regions, and a record-high of 88 submissions. 9 finalists were performed at this concert by Ding Yi Music Company.
Adjudicator Panel Chairman and Ding Yi Principal Guest Conductor Mr Quek Ling Kiong praised Timothy’s bilingual hosting right before the announcement of results. Attending the concert were Guest of Honour Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Ms Grace Fu as well as Ding Yi’s Board Director and Co-Chairman Mr Choo Thiam Siew.
