Pure Talents bilingual emcee Lin Baofeng hosted the Singapore Press Holdings Gift of Music Community Concert Series, presented by Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO), and jointly organised by Ang Mo Kio – Hougang Citizens Consultative Committee, Ci Yuan Community Club, Integration and Neutralisation Committee and PA PassionArts.
Titled Musical Harmony at Ci Yuan, the event was graced by Guest of Honour Grassroots Advisor Mr Darryl David, Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC.
Led by and conducted by SCO’s Resident Conductor Mr Quek Ling Kiong, the orchestra entertained the crowd with Singapore-themed songs Sheares Bridge Over The Singapore River, Paaduvan Vaarungal, Rasa Sayang, Home and Voices from the Heart, and also featured the Suona and Guanzi Principal Jin Shi Yi with a performance of Wukong. Audience was also transported to Yunnan with Ma Xiao Lan’s Konghou performance with the number Water of the Trickling Stream.
Lin Baofeng has been a longtime supporter of SCO and is honoured to have served at many SCO events as the hosting emcee.
