Pure Talents bilingual emcee Danny Yeo is honoured to be back hosting the biennial Micro Film Competition Award Ceremony for the third time. The themes were My Singapore Story in 2015 and My Singapore Future in 2017. This year, the theme was My Singapore Style. The event was co-organised by Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and Lianhe Zaobao, with the support of National Integration Council.

Singapore’s uniqueness and broad appeal lies in her multi-culturalism. With the core concept of “Building a Harmonious Society Together”, this third-year Micro Film Competition encouraged participants to illustrate their version of “My Singapore Style” through micro films, and encouraged the creative presentation of different perspectives of the spirit, culture or values symbolic of Singapore’s diversity.

“My Singapore Style” Micro Film Competition Awards consists of two categories: Open Category and Student Category, each with three awards (Gold, Silver and Bronze). There were four other individual awards: Most Popular Award, Most Creative Award, Best Actor or Actress and Best Director Award. Singapore Online Video Award, introduced in 2017, also continued to encourage more widespread participation.

Pure Talents would like to congratulate all winners and encourage them to continue making outstanding films for Singapore!
