24 Jul 2016 (Sun), 9am – 2pm

Ride for Rainbows is an annual riding event organised by Club Rainbow Singapore. Started in 2012, this event celebrated its 5th anniversary in 2016. The event aims to raise public awareness as well as funds to support the families of children who suffer from a range of chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses.

Pure Talents bilingual emcee Lin Baofeng was proud to host the charity event and honoured to be able to contribute her part in a worthy cause.

Ride for Rainbows 2016 saw several “firsts”. For the first time, riders braved the streets of Singapore in the morning (the event started as an overnight race) and took on grueling riding distances of 35 km, 55 km and 105 km. The number of fund-raising riders and volunteers hit a record-high of close to 750. Also, the riders came back to a vibrant ambiance at a fun-filled carnival where they mingled with the charity organisation’s beneficiaries and families for the first time.

As part of the qualifying criteria to ride in the event, riders raised either $555 or, as part of the event’s 5th year anniversary “Share the love” campaign, rally 35 supporters to each donate a minimum of $5, depending on the categories they registered for.

The guest of honour for Ride For Rainbows 2016 was Mr Tan Chuan Jin, Minister for Social and Family Development.

Pure Talents was a sponsor for Ride For Rainbows 2016, with The Resonant Amos Poh, our photographer and videographer, receiving a plaque of appreciation from Minister Tan.
