JK Tech Group First Annual Dinner Celebrations in Singapore
with Guest of Honour Senior Minister of State Ms Sim Ann
Stamford Ballroom Level 4, Fairmont Hotel Singapore
12 Jan 2017 (Thu), 7pm – 10pm

Pure Talents veteran bilingual emcee Danny Yeo was the host for JK Tech Group’s first annual company dinner celebrations in Singapore after having spent nearly two decades of success in China.

The company’s amazing story was captured by a Straits Times headline in 2015: “He quit after he was promoted” (report on successful Singaporeans abroad). That historical moment happened in 2001. A young man in his early 30s was just promoted to replace his boss who had been in the multinational company for some 30 years. Instead of blindly rejoicing, the young man was surprisingly unhappy. “What if this happened to me when I’m older?” He reconsidered his future and decided to venture into the unknown. He packed his bag with small sum of money and headed to Guangzhou, China. For the next decade and a half, he stuck it out with his stubbornness, persistence, and tenacity, and made good with his efforts. Eventually his business expanded.

In 2015, Group Chairman of JK Tech Group, Mr Lennon Tan, moved his company’s headquarters back to his homeland, Singapore. He decided to invest in Singapore, create and retain jobs or our countrymen, and bring the Singapore brand to a higher level.

Taking the stage to thank all who have supported JK Tech Group were Executive Director Mr Marvin Tan, Group CEP Mr Anthony Ong, CEO of BPO Group Mr Thomas Wee, and CEO of JK China Mr Mao Rong Kun.

At the event, JK Tech Group also unveiled two new logos for their subsidiaries, witnessed by Senior Minister of State Ms Sim Ann. JK Tech Group also contributed to three charities: Keeping Hope Alive, Autistic Resource Centre Singapore, and Bukit Timah Community Development and Welfare Fund. There was also an award presentation ceremony for Outstanding Performance, given to 32 worthy recipients in the company.
