Hosted by Danny Yeo and Tan Li Yi, in both English and Mandarin, BreadTalk IHQ’s Official Opening was a grand affair with drum performances and a rare visit to the Central Kitchen as well as the Management Office as part of the building’s media tour.

BreadTalk IHQ is located in Paya Lebar iPark, a hub for SMEs in retail, F&B & light industries. The building is 10-storey high, with total land area of 72,4000 square feet, equivalent to 1 football field or 6 Olympic pools. It is built on three values – work, industrial and play. The building was built within a year, at a cost of $64 million. Construction commenced in Aug 2011 and first day of operation was 4 Jun 2013. Designed by award winning architect Tan Kay Ngee, the exterior design had the concept of a danish pastry with many layers, signifying BreadTalk’s roots in bakery and its diverse brands within the BTG Group.

In attendance was Chairman of BreadTalk Group Limited, Dr George Quek. The Guest of Honour was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
