organised by Sony GEM, Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia
Suntec Convention Centre
2 Oct 2016 (Sun), 2pm – 3pm

Pure Talents veteran emcee Danny Yeo was appointed the host for Japanese celebrity Mocomichi Hayami’s star appearance in Singapore with Sony GEM.

This event is organised by GEM, the latest Asian entertainment channel from Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia, the broadcaster of Asia’s leading cable channels AXN, ONE, Animax and Sony Channel. GEM is a joint venture with Nippon Television Network Corporation, giving access to premium Japanese content, exclusively from Nippon TV. GEM features first-run and exclusive dramas, comedies and variety entertainment shows from Japan. The line-up includes selected prime time dramas on the same day and within the same week of their broadcast in Japan.

MOCO’s Kitchen – starring the dashing, handsome and very creative chef Mocomichi Hayami – is shown exclusively on GEM every Tuesday at 10.10pm. In the cooking show, Moco demonstrates easy-to-prepare and mouth-watering dishes along with viewers’ requests. Moco demonstrates the making of gourmet dishes in the comfort of your own home. Each recipe is personally crafted by him to fit in with viewers’ requests. His similarly-named cookbook ‘MOCO’s Kitchen’ also won the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards’ Japanese cooking category in 2013.

At the Fan Meet, Danny interviewed Moco in an intimate session and also facilitated the online video chat with fans, which saw some really funny moments as Danny gave a live commentary on the photos that Moco shared. Even Moco couldn’t control his laughter and slapped Danny on his back with an unintended translation of “tight buns”, which is unrelated to cooking.

Fans got to play fun games with Moco onstage and won attractive prizes including autographed kitchen apron and a limited-edition Mocomichi Hayami frying pan.
