SGIFF is the longest-running international film platform of Southeast Asia. It is a gathering of the region’s independent filmmaking talents to showcase their works to Asia and beyond. It is also a platform for them to engage in conversations and contribute to the growth of this industry. Over 11 days, SGIFF presented 146 feature and short films from 51 countries, across 11 sections, giving festival attendees an insight of the region’s stories and the art of filmmaking.
Appearing at the red-carpet event were MediaCorp radio deejays (Kunhua, Hong Sheng-an) and artistes (Chen Xinqi, Zhang Zhenyuan), as well as the cast of local film Bugis Street and director Lee Chung with his actresses Sonia Sui Tang and Yeo Yann Yann from Taiwanese film The Laundryman.
